Not too muddy for Portland

Not too muddy today.

Today the ground was frozen at the start of the day but began to thaw out by time my race time came along. In my race I got a good start and got in the lead only to crash in the first lap and and fall back to third. Turns out that I had too much pressure in my tires and my bike was sliding all over. With 2 laps to go my bike was beginning to shift bad so the last time by the pit I decided to take a bike for the last lap. For some reason my backup bike feels like a rocket when I take it and today it happened again. I closed the 30sec gap to 2nd place and got a gap before the sprint for 2nd.

Dean raced at the same time as I did and had a great race finishing 2nd. Chris had another good race finishing 3rd after crashing at our feet entering the pit.

Bummer race of the day had to be the Elite race. Both Joe and Adam crashed out of the race. Adam is ok and the bike can be fixed. Joe injured his knee but it looks like it should be ok. Lot's of ice tonight might keep the swelling down enough so that he can race tomorrow. If not he's going to save it for nationals.

That's it for now, I'm tired and it's time to eat. Man......this 2 hour time difference is really messing me up.
